In Synelnykove, a young man stole a car from a service station and crashed it shortly after.

Investigators in Synelnykove have reported suspicions against a 21-year-old local resident who stole a car from a service station and ended up in a traffic accident. This was reported by "Vydomo" citing the Main Directorate of the National Police in Dnipropetrovsk Oblast.

The crime took place on December 9 around 7:00 PM in Synelnykove. According to law enforcement, at the beginning of December, the victim left a "DAEWOO Lanos" car at a local service station for maintenance. The suspect was employed at this station. Waiting for everyone to leave, he decided to take a ride in the stolen vehicle. However, he was unable to drive far – he lost control and, as soon as he left the station, was involved in a traffic accident.

The car thief turned out to be a previously convicted 21-year-old resident of the village of Vasylkivka in the Synelnykove district.

Based on the evidence collected, investigators, in coordination with the Synelnykove District Prosecutor's Office, informed the man of the suspicion under Part 1 of Article 289 (illegal seizure of a vehicle) of the Criminal Code of Ukraine.
