Investigators in Pyatykhatky have completed a pre-trial investigation and sent indictments to the court against two men suspected of a series of thefts. Throughout February of this year, they were responsible for ten property crimes committed both in the city itself and in nearby localities. This was reported by "Vidomo" citing the police of the Dnipropetrovsk region.
The first suspect, a 57-year-old man, exploited his trusting relationships with victims. He stole from five acquaintances while visiting them. As the homeowners were distracted with various tasks, the perpetrator discreetly took their belongings. His "collection" included a generator, construction tools, as well as household and computer equipment.
The second suspect, a 62-year-old man, acted more openly. He stalked his victims in public places such as parks, stadiums, and shops. Waiting for the owners to leave their belongings unattended, he quickly and skillfully stole them. As a result of his actions, two mobile phones, headphones, and construction tools became his loot.
Law enforcement agencies managed to recover the stolen items, which were returned to their rightful owners.
Both men received notifications of suspicion under part 4 of Article 185 of the Criminal Code of Ukraine, which provides for punishment for theft. Investigators have completed all necessary procedures and sent the indictments to the court.
