In Pavlograd, a drunk driver who was stopped by patrol officers offered a police officer 30,000 hryvnias to avoid administrative responsibility. This was reported by "Vydomo," citing the Main Directorate of the National Police in Dnipropetrovsk Region.
The incident occurred on February 23 around 21:00 on Central Street. A patrol police crew from the Pavlograd District Police Department stopped a Ford Focus for violating traffic rules. During the document check, it became clear that the 51-year-old driver displayed obvious signs of drug intoxication.
Subsequent checks revealed that the man had previously been held administratively responsible for a similar violation and had been stripped of his driving privileges. To evade punishment, he offered the officers 30,000 hryvnias as a bribe.
On February 27, investigators informed the offender of suspicion under Part 1 of Article 369 (offering, promising, or providing unlawful benefits to an official) of the Criminal Code of Ukraine.
