In Pavlograd, a robber stabbed a police officer during an arrest.

A previously convicted resident of Pavlohrad has been taken into custody by the investigator judge of the Pavlohrad city district court, suspected of theft and attempted murder of a law enforcement officer. This was reported by "Vydomo" with reference to a statement from the court's press service.

According to the materials from the pre-trial investigation, on the evening of November 27, 2024, the 32-year-old suspect broke into the victim's apartment and stole property valued at a total of 80,000 UAH.

The following day, during an attempt by police officers to apprehend the criminal, he stabbed an officer in the left side of the chest.

The actions of the suspect are classified by the investigation under part 4 of Article 185 and Article 348 of the Criminal Code of Ukraine. He faces a sentence of up to fifteen years or life imprisonment.

The pre-trial investigation is ongoing.
