In Pavlograd, police have charged a 14-year-old boy with attempting to set fire to a military vehicle. This was reported by "Vідомо," citing the National Police of Dnipropetrovsk Region and the Dnipropetrovsk Regional Prosecutor's Office.

According to the investigation, the underage boy from Pavlograd received a proposition via the Telegram messenger from an acquaintance to "earn extra money" by setting fire to cars owned by the Ukrainian Armed Forces or displaying symbols of armed formations. The client provided the teenager with clear instructions and a step-by-step guide for committing the crime.

On February 24, around 7:30 PM, a witness to the crime reported to the police that he saw from his apartment window an unknown person photographing a military vehicle, after which he doused the vehicle with a flammable mixture.

Police arrived and established that the 14-year-old boy was involved in the offense. He was detained under Article 208 of the Criminal Procedure Code of Ukraine. Empty bottles of the flammable mixture, lighters, and other evidence were seized from the crime scene.

Investigators have ordered expert examinations, and based on the results, the minor has been charged under Part 3 of Article 15 and Part 2 of Article 194 (attempt to intentionally destroy or damage property) of the Criminal Code of Ukraine. He faces a prison sentence of three to ten years.

The suspect has been placed under a preventive measure of round-the-clock house arrest.
