On Friday, February 28, in Kryvyi Rih, Deputy Serhiy Smelyi was spotted during a city council session. He was previously arrested along with his wife without the possibility of posting bail on suspicion of embezzling budget funds. This was reported by "Vydomo," referencing "Svoi. Kryvyi Rih" and a post by Deputy Nataliya Shyshka on Facebook.

During the February city council session, Serhiy Smelyi was present in the session hall.

It has come to light that Serhiy and Iryna Smelyi filed an appeal against the court's decision to keep them in custody without the right to bail. The appellate court allowed bail of 1.5 million UAH for Serhiy and 1.2 million UAH for Iryna.

The bail amounts have been posted, and the suspects in the budget embezzlement case have been released from KUPP-3.
