A resident of Kryvyi Rih, who was part of the "Dvadtsatovskye" organized crime group, set up a drug business and involved six accomplices, reports "Vidomo" citing the Office of the General Prosecutor.
The organizer sent wholesale shipments of cannabis to the capital via postal services, disguised within hydro accumulators.
In the capital, the accomplices sold the packaged cannabis to acquaintances "from hand to hand," as well as shipped it to other regions, hiding it in parcels with animal feed.
The monthly profit from the drug business exceeded 5 million UAH.
Law enforcement conducted over 30 searches at the residences, workplaces, and vehicles of the suspects. They seized 13 kg of cannabis, mephedrone, amphetamine, equipment for growing narcotic plants, cash, and vehicles.
The suspects face up to 12 years in prison with confiscation of property for illegal production, manufacture, acquisition, storage, transportation, mailing, or sale of narcotic drugs, psychotropic substances, or their analogs.
Currently, all participants of the organized group have been placed in custody as a preventive measure.
