In Kamensky, a man illegally caught crucian carp worth 96,000 hryvnias (PHOTOS).

In Kamensky on the Dnieper Reservoir, fish patrol officers discovered a man fishing with serious violations of fishing regulations. This was reported by "Vidomo", citing the Dnipropetrovsk Fish Protection Patrol.

It is noted that the serious violation of fishing rules was uncovered by the Dnipropetrovsk fish patrol on February 14.

The individual was fishing in a shallow area using prohibited equipment – a net. He caught 61 silver crucians, with a total weight of the illegally caught fish amounting to 16 kg. The damage caused to fish stocks is estimated at 96,441 UAH.

An administrative offense report has been drawn up under part 4 of article 85 of the Code of Ukraine on Administrative Offenses. Additionally, a investigative-operational group from the National Police was called to the scene.

Currently, the issue of initiating a criminal case under article 249 of the Criminal Code of Ukraine (illegal fishing, hunting, or other aquatic resource extraction) is being considered. The fishing gear has been seized by the investigator.

The illegally harvested aquatic biological resources have been transferred to an economic entity with which a responsible storage agreement has been made.
