In Dnipro, paramedics assisted a woman who suffered from domestic violence. This was reported on Facebook by medic Tatyana Yesich, as conveyed by "Vydano".
"Unfortunately, even during the war, cases of domestic violence are not decreasing; it affects vulnerable groups in society - women and children. A call regarding a victim of domestic violence was received by the Central Operational Dispatch in the city of Dnipro. A team from the Novomoskovsk Emergency Medical Service responded to the call concerning multiple injuries of a 25-year-old resident of the Dnipro district," the doctor recounted.
It turned out that a 36-year-old man had beaten his wife. By the time the emergency team arrived, police and the head of the territorial community were already on the scene, as there were three young children in the family who inadvertently witnessed the domestic violence.
After examination and assessment, the medical team found that the victim had a closed head injury, a concussion, a closed fracture of the nasal bones, and bruises on her face and right hand. The woman was given the necessary medical assistance and was hospitalized.
"Physical pain can heal over time, but what about psychological trauma? It’s hard to imagine what the long-term effects of domestic violence could be, especially for the children. Once again, we thank the EMS team for their professionalism and dedication to their work!" – Yesich noted.
