A scandal has erupted in Dnipro involving a pawnshop located at 36 Kalnyshensky Avenue, which is affiliated with the well-known network "Kapital." The central figure in this conflict is a woman who claims that her daughter visited this establishment on December 21 to obtain a loan against a valuable ring. The funds were urgently needed for medical treatment. This information was reported by "Vidomo," referencing the Facebook community "Rayonchik."
The loan amount was supposed to be 5800 hryvnias. According to the woman, the pawnshop cashier did not have cash on hand and requested her daughter's bank card number to transfer the funds electronically. Despite waiting for three hours at the pawnshop, the promised 5800 hryvnias never appeared in the girl's account.
This situation naturally raised suspicions of fraud. The police were called to the scene, but according to the woman, they were unable to resolve the issue regarding the unpaid loan amount. It remains unclear whether a report was filed, if the cashier was interrogated, and whether any investigative actions were taken to uncover the truth.
The social media post sparked a heated reaction. Opinions among users were divided. Some are convinced of the cashier's fraudulent actions, citing the lack of funds received and the ambiguous behavior of the pawnshop employees. Others suggest a technical error, not ruling out issues with the bank transfer or problems with the terminal (when the amount is credited to the card within three banking days).
The lack of a prompt resolution to the problem and the silence from the large pawnshop network "Kapital" also leave many questions unanswered for the victims, who are left without money or the ring.
