In Dnipropetrovsk region, a Ministry of Internal Affairs official had an elite car and cash seized.

The head of one of the territorial centers of the Ministry of Internal Affairs in Dnipropetrovsk region had an elite Skoda Kodiaq 2023 model car, valued at over 2 million UAH, confiscated. Additionally, 4.634 million UAH was seized. This information is reported in a statement from the National Agency for Prevention of Corruption, as conveyed by "Vydomo".

It is noted that the Appellate Chamber of the High Anti-Corruption Court confirmed the illegality of the assets owned by the head of one of the service centers of the Ministry of Internal Affairs in Dnipropetrovsk region, specifically the cash amounting to 4,634,755 UAH and the Skoda Kodiaq vehicle.

In May 2024, during searches, nearly 4.6 million UAH in cash was found in the official’s car. Law enforcement also had numerous questions regarding the car itself.

The National Agency for Prevention of Corruption established that the son of the head of the territorial service center purchased the vehicle on his father's behalf. However, neither the official nor the individuals who allegedly lent the money found during the searches had sufficient funds from legitimate sources to make the purchase.

The court agreed with the prosecutor's arguments and denied the respondent's appeal. The decision of the Appellate Chamber of the High Anti-Corruption Court takes effect upon its announcement.
