In Dnipropetrovsk region, law enforcement agencies have disrupted the activities of two drug dealers. The arrests were the result of a long and meticulous effort that included information gathering, conducting operational search activities, and thorough monitoring of suspicious activities. This was reported by "Vidomo," citing the police of Dnipropetrovsk region.

The suspects turned out to be two Ukrainian citizens: a 27-year-old resident of Dnipro and a 57-year-old resident of Nikopol. The former specialized in creating and placing so-called "stash" spots—hiding places for narcotic substances meant for subsequent purchase by drug-dependent individuals within the regional center. As a result of a search conducted at his residence, in compliance with all procedural norms, the police seized 25 doses containing methadone—a highly toxic opioid drug that induces strong physical and psychological dependence.

The 57-year-old resident of Nikopol was involved in the acquisition and storage of drugs. During a search of his home, 50 zip bags filled with cannabis—a psychoactive substance—were discovered and confiscated. The amount of cannabis seized confirms the gravity of the crime.

The police are continuing their investigation.

Both detainees are suspected of committing a serious crime as defined by articles of the Criminal Code of Ukraine related to the illegal production, manufacture, acquisition, storage, transportation, shipment, or sale of narcotic substances, psychotropic substances, or their analogs. They face imprisonment for up to 8 years.
