In Dnipropetrovsk, a pensioner brutally beat his common-law wife to death (PHOTO).

In the city of Kamenskoye, a 70-year-old pensioner brutally killed his 76-year-old common-law wife. A report about the elderly woman’s disappearance came from concerned neighbors who had not seen her for an extended period. Police officers who arrived at the scene found the pensioner in her apartment in critical condition – with multiple injuries indicative of severe beating. This was reported by "Vidomo" citing the police of the Dnipropetrovsk region.

The woman was immediately transported to the hospital; however, despite all the doctors' efforts, they were unable to save her life. She succumbed to the injuries sustained, as confirmed by the results of a comprehensive forensic examination. The investigation revealed that a quarrel had erupted between the couple, escalating into brutal violence.

The man inflicted numerous blows on his common-law wife, causing severe bodily injuries that were incompatible with life. The motives behind the crime are still being determined, but preliminary investigation data suggests that the quarrel was likely provoked by domestic issues.

The suspect has been detained and charged under part 2 of Article 121 of the Criminal Code of Ukraine (intentional grievous bodily harm resulting in death). A preventive measure in the form of detention has been chosen for him. This decision was made by the Kamenskoye District Prosecutor's Office, taking into account the severity of the crime and the risk of the suspect fleeing from justice.

The investigation into the case is ongoing.
