A Dnipro resident who abused his mother is set to face trial.

The offender had previously been convicted of similar crimes - he deliberately and systematically insulted the victim, intimidated her, humiliated her, and threatened her with physical violence. This was reported by "Vідомо," citing the Main Department of the National Police in the Dnipropetrovsk region.

The 62-year-old offender, while at his residence, constantly instigated quarrels with his mother and exerted psychological pressure on her.

The police have completed the pre-trial investigation against the offender.

Investigators from Dnipro's RUP No. 2 have announced suspicions against him under the article of domestic violence (Art. 126-1) of the Criminal Code of Ukraine. The man faces imprisonment for up to two years.

All necessary documentation regarding the suspect (including the indictment) has been sent to court.
