On Thursday, December 5, the Lviv Appeals Court upheld the preventive measure for Dnipro resident Vyacheslav Zinchenko, who is suspected of murdering Irina Farion. He will remain in custody until January 12 without the right to bail. This was reported by Hromadske, as conveyed by "Vidomo".
"The Appeals Court denied the request and maintained the previously selected preventive measure of custody without the right to bail," the statement reads.
The suspect's lawyer stated in court that Zinchenko was "designated" as a suspect in the case because he "was seen with his phone in the wrong place at the wrong time and was recorded through the mobile network."
The prosecutor countered the defense's arguments, asserting that the investigation reviewed video recordings that "consistently show the entire route of the suspect in Lviv from July 9 to July 21, so there are no discrepancies." According to him, some cameras showed differences "between the recorded time and the actual time," yet all "discrepancies were resolved during the pre-trial investigation through interrogations and other investigative actions."
As a result, the Lviv Appeals Court kept 18-year-old Vyacheslav Zinchenko in custody.
