The Commander-in-Chief of the Armed Forces of Ukraine, Oleksandr Syrskyi, shared the reasons and significance of this decision in an interview with the YouTube channel "Bomber."

Response to New Challenges
The Russian army is actively increasing its forces by creating new divisions and opening additional fronts. In the face of ongoing aggression, Ukraine is compelled to adapt and find effective countermeasures. The formation of new brigades enables the Armed Forces of Ukraine (AFU) to respond swiftly to changes in the enemy's strategy, secure vulnerable defense areas, and withstand enemy pressure.
Rotation and Reinforcement of Troops
In addition to enhancing defensive capabilities, the new units will facilitate troop rotation among fighters. More experienced brigades can be deployed to the most critically important front lines, while newly formed units will have time for training and familiarization with combat tactics.
"This is not a whim, but a pressing necessity. The General Staff is organizing troops based on the actual level of threats posed by Russian units," emphasized Oleksandr Syrskyi.

Army Development in Wartime
Since the onset of full-scale invasion, the Russian army has doubled its numbers, necessitating corresponding measures from Ukraine. Reinforcing the AFU with new brigades is a step aimed at strengthening the country's defense, supporting active fighters, and preparing for any scenario on the battlefield.
In the context of ongoing confrontation, Ukraine is not merely reacting to enemy actions but is striving to outpace them by shaping an army of the future capable of facing even the most complex challenges.
