Applications for this state assistance program can be submitted until the end of February 2025.
According to the updated program, the following individuals can seek assistance through Ukrposhta:
Citizens aged 60 and older who do not use the "Diia" app and do not receive pensions or social benefits through Ukrposhta.
Incapacitated adults who apply via their guardians.
Individuals with disabilities of groups I and II, as well as those caring for a child with a disability from subgroup A, who are currently receiving a disability pension or social assistance through banks.
This expansion means that individuals who previously did not receive pensions or social benefits through Ukrposhta are now eligible for support at its branches.
Eligible individuals can follow these steps to submit an application:
Visit any Ukrposhta branch, contact an operator, and fill out an application for "Winter Support."
After receiving an SMS notification about the payment being credited, visit the branch to receive services or goods equivalent to the credited amount.
Recipients with limited mobility can contact the Ukrposhta Contact Center to request assistance from a postal worker.
If the recipient is incapacitated, their guardian can submit an application on their behalf by presenting documents that confirm their identity and guardianship status.
To process the application, applicants must provide:
A document confirming identity (e.g., Ukrainian passport).
Proof of the recipient's status as a disability pensioner or social assistance recipient.
Guardians must also provide documents that confirm their identity and legal status as a guardian. Copies of these documents are not required.
The application must also include the recipient's taxpayer identification number (TIN).
Deadlines for applications and payments:
Applications for assistance can be submitted until February 28, 2025, and payments can be received until April 30, 2025.
For citizens who already receive pensions, subsidies, or other social benefits through Ukrposhta, the process is simplified. They only need to visit their branch on the designated payment date or receive assistance directly from the postal worker, without submitting an application.
Ukrposhta has emphasized its commitment to supporting citizens, especially in remote areas, villages, and frontline regions. The company highlighted its role in ensuring accessibility and inclusivity for all Ukrainians, positioning itself as more than just a postal service but as a vital support system for those in need.
