Limits on bank transfers for clients without verified income:
Starting February 1, 2025, Ukrainian banks will impose a monthly limit of 150,000 UAH on money transfers via IBAN. However, this restriction will only apply to clients without official income verification. Banks will assess such clients based on risk categories: high, medium, and low.
Deadline for re-evaluation by the Military Medical Commission:
In 2024, Ukraine abolished the status of "partially fit" for military service. Individuals with this classification were given a 9-month period to undergo re-evaluation by the Military Medical Commission. This period expires on February 4, 2025.
Those who fail to comply with military registration rules face fines ranging from 17,000 to 25,500 UAH. A referral for re-evaluation is issued by the Territorial Center for Recruitment or upon personal application.
Changes to payments for military personnel's families:
Starting February 1, 2025, the distribution of financial assistance to the families of captured or missing soldiers will follow a new procedure.
Previously, one designated family member (usually the spouse) would receive the entire amount.
According to the new rules:
The soldier can designate beneficiaries who will receive support in the event of capture or disappearance.
If no designation is made, 50% of the financial support will be equally divided among the closest first-degree relatives (spouse, parents, children, or legal representatives).
If there are no suitable first-degree relatives, 20% of the support may be allocated to adult children or siblings.
The remaining 50% or 80% will be held by the military unit until the soldier is released from captivity or officially returns.
New electricity tariffs:
Starting February 1, 2025, households using electric heating will pay under a differentiated pricing system:
Up to 2000 kWh per month → 2.64 UAH/kWh (discounted rate).
Usage over 2000 kWh per month → 4.32 UAH/kWh.
For example, if a household consumes 2500 kWh in February, the bill will be calculated as follows:
(2000 × 2.64) + (500 × 4.32) = 7440 UAH.
These discounted rates will be in effect until April 30, 2025, the end of the heating season.
For other households without electric heating, the standard electricity price remains:
Two-zone meters: 4.32 UAH/kWh (07:00–23:00) and 2.16 UAH/kWh (23:00–07:00).
Enhanced electronic registration at the Ministry of Internal Affairs service centers:
Starting February 4, 2025, the service centers of the Ministry of Internal Affairs will implement an updated electronic registration system to simplify access to services.
The new system, which has been undergoing pilot testing since December 2024 in 52 centers, aims to:
Eliminate manual appointment scheduling and paper tickets.
Reduce the involvement of third parties, including bots.
Provide a more efficient and user-friendly experience.
These digital enhancements will apply to all services of the Ministry of Internal Affairs starting in February.
