Who will be affected by the indexation?
9.2 million pensioners receiving pensions on general grounds.
672 thousand former law enforcement officers (the indexation will affect the basic part of the pension).
98 thousand individuals receiving pensions due to disability or loss of a breadwinner as a result of the Chernobyl disaster.
80 thousand war veterans and individuals with disabilities from wartime.
23.4 thousand pensioners — former civil servants and local government employees.
158 thousand individuals receiving insurance payments related to workplace injuries or occupational diseases.
How will the pension increase be calculated?
Not the entire pension will be increased by 11.5% — only the salary used in the calculation formula.
The minimum pension payments will also rise depending on age and work experience.
It is expected that the following pension amounts will increase by approximately 11.5%:
2340 UAH - 2610 UAH.
2725 UAH - 3038 UAH.
2980 UAH - 3323 UAH.
3370 UAH - 3755 UAH.
It is important to note that pensioners receiving 23610 UAH or more, as well as judges (who have a separate pension system), will not receive indexation.
In addition, the expected pension growth is forecasted as follows:
The average increase after indexation: 556 UAH.
The average pension in Ukraine will rise from 5789 UAH to 6345 UAH.
