It has been reported that representatives of the Ministry of Internal Affairs are visiting apartments to conduct a nationwide census, asking residents to provide personal information, take photographs, and even collect fingerprints.

The National Police of the Vinnytsia region issued a statement clarifying that these reports are false.

They emphasized that such a census is not being conducted and warned the public about individuals impersonating Ministry of Internal Affairs employees who are deceiving people and gathering personal data.

The Center for Counteracting Disinformation also responded, confirming that Ministry of Internal Affairs officials do not have the authority to conduct a census. They highlighted that these false reports are likely aimed at discrediting the Ministry of Internal Affairs and undermining public trust in the authorities.

The police urge residents to remain vigilant and report any suspicious activities or individuals claiming to conduct such checks.
