At the end of February, the third group of volunteers living abroad will sign contracts with the Armed Forces of Ukraine.

This was announced by Ukraine's ambassador to Poland, Vasyl Bodnar, in a comment to Ukrinform. According to him, this group will also include Ukrainians who were unable to join during the second wave of contract signing on January 10 in Lublin.
Volunteers Unite for Victory
The demand for joining the Ukrainian Legion among our compatriots abroad continues to grow. The ambassador confirms this, noting that it is necessary to strengthen the information campaign so that even more Ukrainians learn about the opportunity to engage in this important project.
The Ukrainian Legion was established in July 2024 as part of a broader agreement between Ukraine and Poland, signed by Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelensky and Polish Prime Minister Donald Tusk. One of the key objectives of the agreement was to train Ukrainian military personnel in Poland according to NATO standards.

Contracts, Training, Mission
Volunteers have the option to sign contracts for one year, three years, or until the end of a special period. After signing, they undergo military training at a range near Lublin.
For those in need of specialized training, there is an opportunity to study at other centers depending on the chosen direction. This cooperation allows for a solid foundation to be established for the formation of professional units ready to tackle any tasks.
Support from Allies
Poland plays a special role in this process, providing infrastructure, equipment, and armament for training, while the Ukrainian side supplies uniforms and medical supplies.

Ukrainians are Unstoppable
The actions of the Ukrainian Legion once again prove that Ukrainians are unparalleled in their desire to defend their homeland. They are ready to overcome distances, challenges, and hardships to collectively bring closer the long-awaited victory.
