The police in Kryvyi Rih have forwarded cases to court concerning two officials from an industrial enterprise, whose negligence resulted in damages to the state amounting to nearly 800,000 hryvnias. This information was reported by "Vidomo," citing GUNP in Dnipropetrovsk Oblast.
During the pre-trial investigation, law enforcement discovered that throughout December 2021, two officials from one of the joint-stock companies in Kryvyi Rih failed to monitor the emissions of pollutants into the atmosphere, leading to air pollution.
This fact was recorded by the staff of the environmental inspection of Dnipropetrovsk Oblast, who prepared the relevant act.
Following a series of investigative measures and the receipt of results from an engineering and environmental examination, the police informed the two individuals of their suspicion under part 1 of Article 241 (pollution of the atmosphere) of the Criminal Code of Ukraine. This article stipulates a restriction of freedom for a period of 3 to 5 years or imprisonment for the same term, along with a prohibition on holding certain positions or engaging in specific activities for up to three years or without such restrictions.
Indictments against the men have been submitted to the court.
