The monthly minimum wage has been raised to 4666 zlotys gross (approximately 1040 euros), which is 366 zlotys more than last year. Additionally, the minimum hourly rate has increased to 30.50 zlotys (about 6.80 euros).
This wage increase is expected to affect around 3.2 million people in Poland.
In comparison, the minimum wage in Ukraine as of January 1 is 8000 UAH (190$). Indeed, the minimum wage in Poland is nearly six times higher than in Ukraine, where it stands at about 190 US dollars compared to 1132 US dollars in Poland.
