The police of the Synelnykove district detained an 18-year-old young man who left Petropavlivka without a landline telephone connection, reports "Vydomo".
It was revealed that throughout December, the man stole the overhead communication cable in the town of Petropavlivka three times. Using a tool, he cut the cable, removed the insulation, and sold the metal wire at a scrap metal collection point.
Investigators informed the man of his suspicion under part 4 of Article 185 (theft committed under martial law) of the Criminal Code of Ukraine. For the crimes committed, he faces up to 8 years behind bars.
