В Днепропетровской области задержали преступников, которые прятали наркотики в продуктах и отправляли их в колонию.

Police have apprehended a group of criminals who organized the supply of drugs to a correctional facility by disguising them as food products. This was reported by "Vідомо," citing the police of the Dnipropetrovsk region.

The criminal plan was meticulously devised and supervised by one of the "overseers" who is serving a sentence for property crimes. The 35-year-old ringleader, holding significant influence in criminal circles, managed to enlist an accomplice—a previously convicted acquaintance from Zaporizhzhia. This individual was at large and acted as a link, placing orders and coordinating the transportation of the drugs.

The perpetrators employed various tricks to deceive the prison guards. They carefully selected products that could conceal the narcotics and used different packaging to avoid raising suspicion.

For instance, these could include vegetables, canned goods, frozen foods, or even sweets, in which the drugs were hidden. This approach allowed them to successfully deliver prohibited substances to the facility where the inmates were held.

Investigators are working on the case and have already announced suspicions against both participants in the criminal scheme. They face severe penalties, including imprisonment for up to ten years with confiscation of property.
