According to a review published on the "Ministry of Finance" portal, a woman shared her experience of having her card blocked while attempting to pay for an order worth 813 hryvnias.
The customer explained that she transferred money from her official salary to a virtual card to make the payment. However, the bank flagged the transaction as a potential "corruption risk" and immediately blocked her card.
This prevented the woman from completing the payment, causing significant inconvenience as she was on the road and a courier was waiting at her door.
She expressed her outrage over the incident, noting that her salary is officially documented and below the national average. In her opinion, the relatively small purchase amount should not have raised any suspicions.
The customer also criticized the bank's policy, questioning why such measures are directed at minor transactions. She pointed out that she holds a Gold Club card for which she pays a fee, calling the situation unacceptable.
PrivatBank responded to the complaint, acknowledging the issue and promising to conduct a further investigation.
