This allowance is specifically designed for pensioners who are caring for children under the age of 18 and is provided on the condition that the pensioner is not employed.

The allowance amounts to 150 hryvnias for each dependent child and is granted as an additional payment to the primary pension for old age, disability, or years of service. However, the payment ceases if the pensioner begins to work or registers as an individual entrepreneur.

To receive this allowance, pensioners must submit an official application to the Pension Fund of Ukraine at the location where they receive their pension payments. Additionally, they must provide documents verifying their identity, proof of age and relationship to the dependent child, as well as evidence that the pensioner financially supports the child.

It is also necessary to provide employment documentation confirming that the pensioner is currently not working.

The allowance is paid until the child reaches the age of 18. If the pensioner finds employment or starts their own business, the payments are immediately terminated. Pensioners are also required to notify the Pension Fund of Ukraine about any changes in their employment status or entrepreneurial activities.

Failure to report such changes in a timely manner may result in the Pension Fund continuing to issue additional payments, which will later need to be reimbursed.
