As stated in Article 49 of the Law "On Mandatory State Pension Insurance," pension payments may be suspended either by a decision of the Pension Fund or by a court ruling.
Such decisions are typically made when specific issues arise, for instance, when the initial pension was granted based on false or forged documents, or when discrepancies in information are detected.
The main reasons for the suspension of pension payments include:
The pensioner’s failure to undergo mandatory physical identification.
The pensioner not collecting their pension at the post office or not using funds on their bank card for six consecutive months.
The pensioner submitting a request to suspend payments due to temporary relocation abroad.
The death of the pensioner, their recognition as missing, or their declaration as deceased.
A pensioner who has been declared missing under special circumstances.
In most cases, pensioners have the opportunity to reinstate their payments. To do this, they need to contact the Pension Fund, verify their identity, and submit the necessary application to resume pension payments.
