Here’s what residents can expect regarding electricity costs in 2025.

The current electricity tariffs for residential consumers, implemented in June, will remain in effect at least until April 30, 2025.

Current prices:

4.32 UAH/kWh for most residential consumers.

2.64 UAH/kWh for residents using electricity as their primary heating source during the heating season, provided their monthly consumption does not exceed 2000 kWh.

Additionally, consumers with two-zone meters can save on costs by using electricity at night (from 11:00 PM to 7:00 AM), during which the price is halved.

However, Ukrainians should brace for higher electricity prices as early as summer 2025. According to Oleg Popenko, head of the Union of Consumers of Utility Services of Ukraine, tariffs could increase starting June 1, 2025, to approximately 6.32–6.64 UAH/kWh.

Popenko noted that the exact figure may vary slightly, but he emphasized the likelihood of significant increases in expenses.
