The head of the Union of Utility Consumers, Oleg Popenko, stated this in an interview on the UKRLIFE channel.

Over the past year, housing and utility services in Ukraine have increased by an average of 20%. According to Popenko, this trend is expected to continue into 2025, with two possible scenarios.

Optimistic: if elections take place, the growth of utility payments is projected to remain around 20%.

Pessimistic: if elections do not occur, utility payments could rise by 70-80%.

Popenko emphasized that Ukraine's obligations to the International Monetary Fund allow for adjustments to utility tariffs even in a state of martial law. This means that tariff increases remain possible regardless of the country's current issues.
