According to analysts from the economic portal Minfin, the prices of these staple vegetables have increased compared to December, affecting the budgets of many families.
Potato prices continue to rise:
As of the end of January, the average price for potatoes reached 34.68 UAH per kilogram, which is 2.11 UAH higher than the previous month. However, prices vary significantly among different retailers. At "Ashan," potatoes can be found for 28.85 UAH, while at "Megamarket," they are sold at a much higher price of 40.50 UAH per kilogram. Additionally, specialty varieties, such as young potatoes, cost 44.90 UAH per kilogram, and pink potatoes are priced at 35.50 UAH per kilogram.

Cabbage prices have also surged, especially for young cabbage. The average cost is 97.15 UAH per kilogram, with "Novus" offering it for 69.99 UAH, while "Megamarket" sells it for 124.30 UAH per kilogram.
Moreover, the price of white cabbage also varies among different sellers:
“Novus” — 44.99 UAH per kilogram.
“Metro” — 42.90 UAH per kg.
“Ashan” — 42.90 UAH per kilogram.
“Megamarket” asks for 61.60 UAH per kilo.
The average price for white cabbage currently stands at 48.10 UAH per kilogram.
