According to experts, retail prices for potatoes have increased by an average of 2-3 hryvnias over the past month, with the current price range being 34-36 UAH per kilogram.
Maxim Hopka, an analyst at the Ukrainian Club of Agrarian Business, suggests that potato prices may rise even further in the coming months if cheaper imported potatoes do not enter the market to stabilize prices.

Hopka also forecasts that by March or April 2025, the price of potatoes could reach 38-39 UAH per kilogram, depending on the availability of imports.
Additionally, according to the State Statistics Service, the average price for potatoes in December 2024 was 29.74 UAH per kilogram. Given this trend, consumers are urged to consider stocking up on potatoes before prices rise even further.
