Reduction of electricity prices for certain consumer categories:
Electricity tariffs in Ukraine will change starting February 1. For households using electricity for heating, the tariff will be reduced for three months, until April 30, 2025.
Those consuming up to 2000 kWh per month will pay 2.64 UAH per kWh.
If consumption exceeds the threshold of 2000 kWh, the tariff for additional electricity will rise to 4.32 UAH per kWh.

For example, if the total consumption for the month is 3000 kWh, the charges will be:
2000 kWh at 2.64 UAH = 5280 UAH.
1000 kWh at 4.32 UAH = 4320 UAH.
Total bill amount: 9600 UAH.
It is important to note that the new tariff system will only apply to February's consumption. The bill for January will still be calculated based on the old tariffs.
Additionally, some households with dual-zone meters (day/night) may experience significant savings, as the tariff for nighttime consumption (from 11 PM to 7 AM) will be half the daytime tariff.
As part of Ukraine's ongoing efforts to support energy supply, gas prices for residential consumers will remain unchanged until April 30, 2025. The most common tariff for Naftogaz customers is set at 7.96 UAH per cubic meter.

Moreover, the freeze on tariffs for hot water, centralized water supply, and gas distribution has been extended for the duration of martial law and for an additional six months thereafter, meaning these prices will not increase during this period.
However, tariffs for cold water, while not included in this freeze, have remained stable in large cities but are rising in smaller regions.
Subsidy for rental housing assistance:
Internally displaced persons will soon be able to apply for a rental housing subsidy starting January 29, 2025. This subsidy is intended for those who:
Have been displaced from their homes and relocated to government-controlled territories without their own housing (less than 13.65 square meters per person).
Have destroyed or severely damaged homes.
Spend more than 20% of their family income on rent.
Have a household income below two minimum living standards (5840 UAH per person).

The amount of the subsidy will be calculated based on the family's income and housing rental expenses in the new region. To qualify for assistance, applicants must have a signed rental agreement. They can apply through the offices of the Pension Fund of Ukraine, the web portal or mobile app, as well as at Centers for Administrative Service Provision.
Updates on pensions for February and March 2025:
While pension rates will remain unchanged in February 2025, the upcoming indexation in March 2025 promises to increase payments by an average of 10–17%. This recalculation will be automatic, meaning no action is required from pensioners.

Additionally, those reaching the following milestones in February will receive monthly bonuses:
At 70 years: 300 UAH.
At 75 years: 456 UAH.
At 80 years: 570 UAH.
Finally, starting January 1, 2025, new retirement rules will come into effect. To retire at 60, a minimum of 32 years of work experience will now be required.
