This was confirmed by Mikhail Rosada, the director of the Public Health Center, in an interview on Ranok.LIVE.
He explained that the virus is not very contagious and has been present in Ukraine since 2001, with cases of infection recorded as far back as last year. Treatment for metapneumovirus is typically symptomatic.
Additionally, Rosada mentioned that in the first week of the new year, the incidence of acute respiratory viral infections was 50% lower than the epidemic threshold, indicating a lower-than-usual level of infection.
However, as the doctor of science states, this virus is not as frightening as many have believed, but it is still important not to let one's guard down. It is always best to stay vigilant and remember to take care of your health.
