Some gas consumers have noticed the appearance of a "third" bill in their statements. One of the clients of "Naftogaz" shared her experience by showing a bill for 183.87 UAH. The woman requested clarification on the reason for this additional charge.
Representatives of "Naftogaz" explained that this fee is charged for the maintenance of internal gas supply systems. These charges are calculated and issued in the month and year when the necessary maintenance is performed.
It is important to note that maintenance of gas supply networks is conducted every three to five years, depending on the condition of the equipment in a specific building. The cost of this service varies by region and is influenced by factors such as the length of the common gas networks in the building and the number of apartments.
This additional charge applies exclusively to residents of multi-story apartment buildings and dormitories. Owners of private houses are not subject to this procedure.
Gas companies emphasized that these maintenance payments are one-time charges that are collected only after the work has been completed. They are separate from standard bills for gas consumption and distribution.
Utility providers assured customers that these payments are necessary to ensure the safety and proper functioning of internal gas systems.
