As part of the joint project by the FAST and Favbet Foundation teams, over 1800 coaches and athletes from all regions of the country will undergo training in modern first aid techniques.
In January and February, the first stage of training took place, during which experienced FAST instructors conducted 10 sessions for 212 participants. Representatives from sports such as artistic gymnastics, weightlifting, athletics, judo, rowing, Greco-Roman wrestling, and freestyle wrestling joined the program.
During the training, athletes and coaches learned methods for stopping critical bleeding, assisting with fainting, and performing cardiopulmonary resuscitation. These skills can prove crucial in situations where every second counts.
Given the high level of interest and positive feedback from participants, an expansion of the program is planned for 2025. Additional training will reach over 1600 athletes in various regions of Ukraine. This is the first large-scale project for systematic first aid training within the country's sports community.
Considering the high level of interest and positive feedback from participants, an expansion of the program is scheduled for 2025. Additional training will encompass over 1600 athletes across different regions of Ukraine. This marks the first comprehensive project focused on systematic first aid education within the national sports community.
“We face serious challenges — we need not only to reach as many people as possible with this vital knowledge but also to establish a systematic approach to such training, as the demand continues to grow. We thank our partners, who enable us to scale this project nationwide even in these challenging times,” noted FAST director Yevgenia Zgurova.
