Locked in a basement: a man in Kryvyi Rih took a woman hostage.

In Kryvyi Rih, a dispute occurred between a 38-year-old man and a 34-year-old woman, during which the assailant decided to confine his victim in a basement. This was reported by "Vydomo" citing the Main Directorate of the National Police in Dnipropetrovsk region.

On February 10, the 34-year-old victim approached the police and stated that an acquaintance, after a conflict between them, sought revenge. The suspect locked the woman in a basement and held her for a day before eventually releasing her.

The woman's life is no longer in danger.

Police established that the crime was committed by a 38-year-old resident of Kryvyi Rih, who had previously been convicted multiple times.

On February 13, investigators informed him of the suspicion under Part 2 of Article 146 (illegal deprivation of liberty or kidnapping) of the Criminal Code of Ukraine.
