A prominent lawyer from Dnipro, detained on suspicion of treason, claims that the evidence against him has been fabricated.

Alexander Samarets claims that he did not commit any crimes against Ukraine.
Задержанный адвокат из Днепра, подозреваемый в госизмене, заявил о фальсификации улик против него.

The chairman of the qualification and disciplinary commission of lawyers in Dnipropetrovsk, Oleksandr Samarets, who was detained at the border and accused of treason, stated that all evidence against him is fabricated. This is reported in a letter from the lawyer to Suspilne, as conveyed by "Vidomo".

""I categorically disagree with the suspicion, and I have not committed any of the crimes attributed to me.
I believe that the protocol resulting from the covert investigative actions (NCRD) dated March 22, 2024; the protocol of examination attached to the protocol was forged by individuals unknown to me under unknown circumstances," the letter states.

Samarets reported that the court refused to provide him with the original protocols, thus allegedly depriving him of his right to defense. Furthermore, according to him, the suspicions of law enforcement are related to Samarets' professional activities within the framework of a specific court case, the details of which he will reveal later.
