In Kryvyi Rih, a man has killed his own mother.

The police in Dnipropetrovsk region reported that in Kryvyi Rih, a man fatally beat his mother and then attempted to evade responsibility, as reported by "Vydomo".

During a quarrel, the man inflicted multiple blows to the 71-year-old woman, who succumbed to her injuries.

The crime took place in an apartment in the Saksahanskyi district. Police found that the suspect tried to avoid accountability for the committed crime. He called the emergency line "102" and claimed that he discovered his mother's body at home. The man was detained under Article 208 of the Criminal Procedure Code of Ukraine.

On February 24, investigators informed the man of his suspicion under part 2 of Article 121 of the Criminal Code.
