In Dnipro, authorities raided a warehouse filled with counterfeit cigarettes, revealing an impressive scale of operations (PHOTOS, VIDEO).

In Dnipro, law enforcement officials have uncovered a criminal group that sold counterfeit cigarettes within the city and the surrounding region, reports "Vidomo," citing the Dnipropetrovsk police.

The products were marketed under well-known brand names, with a monthly turnover reaching 30 million hryvnias.

During a search of a warehouse, police seized tobacco products valued at approximately 1.5 million hryvnias—over 31,000 packs of tobacco goods lacking excise stamps and with excise tax stamps that did not meet established standards.

Currently, a pre-trial investigation is ongoing under two articles of the Criminal Code of Ukraine:

– Part 1 of Article 204 (illegal production, storage, sale, or transportation for the purpose of sale of excise goods)

– Part 1 of Article 209 (laundering of proceeds obtained through criminal means)

The pre-trial investigation is being conducted under the procedural guidance of the Dnipropetrovsk regional prosecutor's office.
