A resident of Dnipro will stand trial for throwing a paintball grenade near an educational institution. Investigators have completed the pre-trial investigation and submitted the case to court. This was reported by "Vidomo," referencing the National Police of Dnipropetrovsk Region.
The incident occurred on February 11 at approximately 12:20 on Halyna Mazepa Street in the Industrial District of the city. A 40-year-old man threw a paintball grenade from the balcony of the fourth floor into the schoolyard for hooligan reasons.
The investigative and operational group, along with the explosives service, arrived at the scene immediately.
It has been preliminarily established that the man was at home with friends before stepping out onto the balcony and throwing the grenade.
The offender was detained in accordance with Article 208 of the Criminal Procedure Code of the Russian Federation. Remnants of the paintball grenade were seized from the scene.
On the same day, investigators informed the detainee of the suspicion under Part 4 of Article 296 of the Criminal Code of Ukraine (hooliganism). Such actions could lead to a prison sentence of 3 to 7 years.
