A significant theft of fishing goods amounting to nearly 150,000 hryvnias has been uncovered in Dnipro. A 29-year-old man, who has been repeatedly convicted of property crimes, exploited his acquaintance with the owner of a large fishing tackle warehouse for his own gain. This was reported by "Vydamo," citing the police of the Dnipropetrovsk region.
Having established a trusting relationship with his acquaintance, he gained access to the warehouse, where valuable fishing gear was stored. After the warehouse owner fell asleep, the suspect swiftly and systematically collected valuable fishing items and fled.
Criminal police operatives managed to solve this crime and apprehend the suspect.
Investigators informed the man of his suspicion under part 4 of article 185 of the Criminal Code of Ukraine (theft committed on a large scale). This article prescribes severe penalties, with a maximum sentence of up to 8 years in prison. An indictment has been sent to court. Now, the judicial investigation will determine the degree of the suspect's guilt and impose the appropriate punishment.
