In the night of January 14, Russian regions were subjected to a large-scale attack, resulting in significant damage to key infrastructure and military logistics facilities. Sources in the Security Service of Ukraine (SBU) confirmed that the operation was meticulously planned in collaboration with the Ukrainian Defense Forces.
This was reported by Glavpost, citing “RBK-Ukraine.”
Strategically important sites related to military industry and logistics were targeted:
- Aleksinsky Chemical Plant in the Tula region. Following the drone strikes, a massive fire broke out.
- Storage facilities for aerial bombs and cruise missiles at the Engels airfield in the Saratov region. The detonation of munitions is ongoing.
- Saratov Oil Refinery. A large fire has been registered, engulfing the main production facilities.
- Bryansk Chemical Plant. The missile attack caused destruction and subsequent explosions at the facility.
According to a source in the SBU, the primary objective is to weaken Russia's military potential by striking at facilities that support the production and supply of munitions, fuel, and other resources for the armed forces.
