The National Bank of Ukraine reported that adjustments to tariffs for natural gas, heating, and hot water may commence next year, as the current moratorium temporarily limiting tariff increases remains in effect.

The fixed tariff for natural gas is set at 7.96 UAH per cubic meter until April 30, 2025. However, the head of Naftogaz, Alexey Chernyshov, points out that the market price is 15 UAH per cubic meter. Presently, the difference between the fixed and market prices is subsidized by the government, but this arrangement may change, potentially leading to an increase in gas tariffs.

The electricity tariff for households is also fixed at 4.32 UAH per kWh until April 30, 2025. However, considering the current challenges in Ukraine's energy system, additional recalibrations may be necessary next year, which could result in higher costs for consumers.

The NBU warned that in major cities, water and sewage tariffs may significantly rise in 2025. Meanwhile, smaller towns and municipalities are already adjusting these tariffs, as local authorities have the right to independently regulate utility prices within their jurisdiction.
