Police in Dnipro have apprehended a local resident for thefts in the city center. This was reported by "Vydomo" citing the Main Directorate of the National Police in Dnipropetrovsk Oblast.
It was discovered that during September and October, the suspect committed two thefts from the storage rooms of citizens in the Shevchenkivskyi district of the city. Taking advantage of the absence of witnesses, he stole power tools from utility rooms.
During operational activities and after reviewing surveillance cameras, law enforcement identified the thief. He turned out to be a 42-year-old resident who had previously faced legal issues for similar crimes.
The stolen property was partially recovered by the police.
Investigators have informed the man of the suspicion of committing a criminal offense under part 4 of Article 185 (theft) of the Criminal Code of Ukraine. For this crime, he could face up to 8 years in prison. The investigation is ongoing.
