В Никополе суд приговорил мужчину, который нашел три противотанковые мины в кустах и решил их скрыть.

In Nikopol, a man discovered three anti-tank mines in the bushes and decided to keep them for himself, hiding them away. However, the police quickly found the ammunition. This is reported in the Unified State Register of Court Decisions, as noted by "Vidomo".

The incident occurred on July 23 of this year, and the trial took place in October.

The offender turned out to be a native of Nikopol, who had no prior convictions.

According to case materials, during the evening hours, while at the intersection of Ivan Sirko Street and Telegrafny Lane in Nikopol, he found three items in the bushes, which he identified as anti-tank mines and decided to keep.

The next morning, the man relocated the found mines to a grove near one of the houses, placing two mines in a white polypropylene bag and the third mine in a checkered red, white, and gray polypropylene bag.

On the same day, law enforcement inspected the area near the same house, during which the accused voluntarily handed over the three items he had previously concealed for inspection and seizure. According to the conclusion of the judicial explosive technical examination, these items were indeed industrially manufactured armed anti-tank mines of the TM-62M series with a detonator MVCh-62.

Thus, the defendant, acting intentionally and illegally, acquired industrially manufactured military ammunition without the permission required by law.

His deliberate actions constituted a criminal offense under part 1 of Article 263 of the Criminal Code of Ukraine.

The accused fully admitted his guilt regarding the criminal offense attributed to him by the pre-trial investigation body.

In determining the sentence, the court considered the severity of the committed criminal offense, as well as the personality of the offender and the circumstances that mitigated and aggravated the punishment. The court found the man guilty of the charges against him under part 1 of Article 263 of the Criminal Code of Ukraine and sentenced him to four years of imprisonment.

Based on part 2 of Article 75 of the Criminal Code of Ukraine, the court released the defendant from serving his sentence conditionally, establishing a probation period of one year, obliging him to periodically report for registration to the authorized probation authority during the probation period; to inform the authorized probation authority of any changes in residence, employment, or education. Additionally, the court ordered the accused to reimburse the state for procedural costs incurred for engaging an expert during the comprehensive judicial explosive technical examination, totaling 3786 UAH 40 kopecks.
