Investigators in Nikopol have initiated a criminal case against three suspects: a 24-year-old woman and two men aged 18 and 24, for the brutal beating of a 26-year-old man. The incident occurred on the night of November 20 around 01:30 near one of the supermarkets on Shevchenko Street in Nikopol, Dnipropetrovsk region. This was reported by "Vidomo," citing the Dnipropetrovsk police.
Upon arrival at the scene, the police found a man with multiple injuries, which were later revealed to be the result of a brutal beating. An investigation quickly began, during which the identities of the suspects were established. The inquiry determined that the fight was triggered by an argument between the 24-year-old woman and her boyfriend, which took place the evening before. In an attempt to "resolve" the conflict, the woman sought help from her two acquaintances—an 18-year-old and a 24-year-old man.
The group of three, armed with a bat, attacked the 26-year-old man. After the victim was beaten into unconsciousness, the suspects called for an ambulance and fled the scene, leaving the beaten man to his fate.
The man was taken to the hospital with serious injuries requiring extensive treatment. His condition is assessed as stable, but he needs medical rehabilitation. The severity of the bodily injuries will be definitively determined after all necessary examinations are conducted.
On November 21, in coordination with the Nikopol District Prosecutor's Office, all three suspects were informed of their suspicion under part 2 of Article 121 of the Criminal Code of Ukraine, which provides for punishment for intentional grievous bodily harm. This article stipulates imprisonment for a term of 5 to 8 years.
