In Dnipro, authorities have shut down a channel for illegal weapon supplies (PHOTOS, VIDEO).

In Dnipro, operatives uncovered a channel for the supply of illegal weapons and detained two suspects while they were transporting two Kalashnikov machine guns along with ammunition in their vehicle. This was reported by "Vydomo" citing the National Police of Dnipropetrovsk region.

The operatives received information about two residents of Dnipropetrovsk region who might be involved in the illegal sale of weapons.

On October 28, police stopped a Nissan Qashqai on the highway in the village of Partizanske. In the trunk of the car, driven by a 49-year-old local resident, they found a Kalashnikov machine gun, a Kalashnikov light machine gun, three magazines, and 122 rounds of ammunition.

The investigative-operational group seized the weapons and ammunition discovered during the inspection of the vehicle and sent everything for expert examination.

The driver and a 47-year-old passenger of the car were detained under Article 208 of the Criminal Procedure Code of Ukraine.

On October 29, the police investigation departments notified the men of their suspicion of committing a criminal offense as stipulated in part 1 of Article 263 (illegal handling of weapons, military supplies, or explosive substances) of the Criminal Code of Ukraine.
