In Dnipro, a large-scale fire has erupted once again at the site of the abandoned Ice Palace. This is far from the first instance of arson at this location, which has sadly turned into a notorious playground for vandals and enthusiasts of "hellish fire shows" for the homeless. The situation raises serious concerns and leaves a bitter aftertaste, as the actions behind this are not those of an enemy, but rather the actions of the citizens of Ukraine themselves. This is reported by "Vidomo," citing "Trukha Dnipro."
The abandoned palace, where a major reconstruction was once planned, has turned into ruins since the onset of Russia's full-scale invasion. Russian missile strikes shattered nearly all the windows and doors, leaving the building unprotected from the elements and, even worse, without proper security. The destroyed structures, debris, and scattered trash have proven to be just the latest trials that the building has faced. The current fire, yet another in a series, is a further confirmation of lawlessness and impunity.
A logical question arises: why does such a large building remain without adequate security? The lack of measures to prevent such acts of vandalism contributes to the recurrence of these incidents.
Firefighters have already arrived at the scene and are actively battling the flames.
Previously, we reported that a summer kitchen was on fire in Nikopol at night.
