In Dnipro, an assailant donned a military uniform, stole a phone from a passerby, and withdrew money from the victim's bank account. This was reported by "Vidomo," referencing the National Police of Dnipropetrovsk Region.
The crime occurred on November 3 on Kalynova Street in Dnipro. The perpetrator, dressed in military attire, approached a 19-year-old young man and asked to make a phone call. Once the phone was in his possession, he transferred 4,000 hryvnias from the victim's account to his own, and then fled with the young man's phone.
Police apprehended a 23-year-old local resident. It was revealed that he had previously been convicted for similar offenses. He has now been informed of his suspicion under part 2 of article 190 (fraud) of the Criminal Code of Ukraine.
The court has chosen to remand the man in custody.
